Coach DREW MAGINNIS

Coach Maginnis began coaching football in 1991 at Archbishop Wood.  He coached at Villanova for ten years and has coordinated and called plays at both the college and high school levels.  He was the Offensive Coordinator at Malvern Prep for the 2014 and 2015 seasons.  During that time Malvern established single season and single game records for passing yardage.  They also established the new single season record for passing touchdowns thrown.  

He has tutored individual quarterbacks for over 14 years and has seen kids he directly coach play at Colgate, Ursinus, and Wisconsin. 

 

Coach BRETT GORDON

Coach Gordon is the area's all-time career leader in passing yards as a high school  football player throwing for over 6,800 yards as a prep player.  He followed that up by starting for three years for Villanova University.  He still holds several records at Villanova including single season and single game records for most yards thrown. 

Brett followed his playing career with college and high school coaching stops that included Lafayette College and Ole' Miss.  Most recently Brett has been Offensive Coordinator at LaSalle High School and Imhotep Charter where his offenses have been in or at the top of area passing leaders.  In 2014, LaSalle threw the ball 312 times for  2,524 yards and  28 touchdowns.  Brett has coached players that have gone onto play at every level of College football.

 

 

 

Coach Larry Woods

Coach Woods brings over 35 years of coaching experience to the academy.  He has coached at both the high school and college level.  Coach Woods worked at the University of Pennsylvania for 22 years and mentored a string of record-setting quarterbacks since 1995. In all, he has coached the top-six passers in Penn’s 135-year history. Of the nine 2,000-yard single-season passing performances in Penn history, eight have come under Woods.  Coach Woods is currently coaching quarterbacks at Malvern Prep.
